Kopan Monastery is a Buddhist Monastery in the Tibetan Tradition. It was founded by Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the 1969. Lama Zopa Rinpoche is the director and spiritual head of the monastery, as well as of the FPMT, the worldwide organization.

Kopan is located on the outskirts of Kathmandu. It is home to more that 350 monks, who received traditional monastic training together with a modern school education.

It also offers a wide range of Buddhist courses from introductory to advanced level.
